First Facts
Free Parking
Parking is available on the street and in all public ramps. Please do not park in private business or 24-hour lease only lots. Park your car and take the trolley or walk to each of the First Night venues. For the midnight fireworks, please do not park on the street or in driveways at Falls Park. Use the parking lot on the north side please.
The Trolley
Ride the Trolley from 5:00pm - 12:30am to all First Night venues and Falls Park.
Accessibility
All First Night venues are fully accessible to those with disabilities. Please alert the First Night volunteers at any venue if you require assistance or special seating arrangements.
The Show Must Go On
With the majority of First Night festivities taking place INSIDE downtown venues, the celebration will go on whether it rains, shines or snows. Dress in layers.
Hungry?
Food or concessions will be available for purchase at most First Night venues. Food and beverages are not included in the button price. Several great downtown restaurants will also be open during First Night, including First Night venues Riverwalk Café, Holiday Inn City Centre, and the Overlook Café at Falls Park.
Design Your Own First Night!
To get the most from your evening, review the entire schedule ahead of time. Plan your schedule in advance so you're able to enjoy the performances you choose. Allow enough time to travel between venues to enjoy the magical scenery of First Night. All seating and activities are first come, first served. Be sure to arrive early to experience all that First Night has to offer.
Lodging
The Holiday Inn City Centre in downtown Sioux Falls is the official hotel of First Night Sioux Falls. Mention First Night for special New Year's Eve weekend rates.
Emergencies, First Aid, Lost and Found, Lost Kids, Restrooms
The First Night command center is at the Holiday Inn City Centre Embassy room. Any lost children or items encountered by volunteers will be brought there. In the case of an emergency, call 911 or ask a First Night volunteer at the venue for assistance. Public restrooms are available at all First Night venues.
