First Facts
Parking
Metered parking is available on the street and in all public ramps until 5:00pm, and free after 5:00pm. Please do not park in private business or 24-hour lease only lots. Do NOT park in the Albert House parking lot next to the Orpheum Theater Center, you will be towed!
Accessibility
All First Night venues are fully accessible to those with disabilities. Please alert the First Night volunteers at any venue if you require assistance or special seating arrangements.
The Show Must Go On
With the majority of First Night festivities taking place INSIDE, the celebration will go on whether it rains, shines or snows. Dress in layers for the Kid’s Fireworks show at 9:20 p.m.
Hungry?
Concessions will be available for purchase at the Sioux Falls Arena, the Orpheum Theater Center and the Holiday Inn City Centre. Food and beverages are not included in the button or admission price. Several great downtown restaurants will also be open.
Plan Ahead
To get the most from your evening, review the entire schedule ahead of time. All seating and activities are first come, first served. Be sure to arrive early to enjoy all that First Night has to offer.
Lodging
The Holiday Inn City Centre in downtown Sioux Falls is the official hotel of First Night Sioux Falls. Mention First Night for special New Year's Eve rates.
Emergencies, First Aid, Lost and Found, Lost Kids, Restrooms
The First Night command center is at the Orpheum Theater Center. Any lost children or items encountered by volunteers will be brought there. In the case of an emergency, call 911 or ask a First Night volunteer at the venue for assistance. Public restrooms are available at all First Night venues.
